Inspiration
I arrived in a strange place to live and learn the land. It was far away from where I belonged. The earth smelled different and the sky seemed cheerless, the moons shine less silver and the sun lot less golden. From season to season, month to month, I sensed nothing that resembled the place to where I belonged.
I found a quiet street called Balmain. One spring, end of the street I finally found beautifully hung a sight from my childhood. Purple showers of Wisteria with it’s evil scent that gave me the wanderlust every spring . Fell from heaven like purple rain, finally I found something from my old place of being.
The exotic Wisteria falls sweep this lavender silk.Tangled in the sensual showers of purple Wisteria , saunter away stealing eyes for a vision they were not prepared for.

Blouse Piece: Not included with the saree. The blouse worn in photographs is only for styling.
Maintenance:Dry Clean. Do not iron directly on the painted surface. Iron by keeping either a cotton fabric on the painted surface or on the reverse side of the painted surface. Rest of the fabric can be ironed normally on silk setting.

Description
Fabric:
The hand painting is done on a silk blend of pure tussar and organza. The fabric is light and airy.
Printing:
The motifs are hand painted on the fabric. The paints used are acrylic colours with appropriate medium to protect the paint from cracking and peeling . However if fabric paint is exposed to direct heat like iron and strong sunlight it will crack.
Purple rain is unique in itself, beautiful hand painting on pure tussar. Very light and easy to carry…so much that I wore for my son’s birthday and even danced..feeling light like in air.
