Inspiration
This is a gorgeous Vermilion coloured, light silk saree with original Madhubani painting done on both the borders. First, we have done paisley block prints in self colour all over saree and then the hand painting with grey and white paint, outlined by black ink.
Madhubani painting is said to be one of the most famous tribal art forms of India, practiced by people in the region of Mithila in Bihar. They represent religious content, animals, birds and complex geometric patterns. Madhubani paintings use to be painted with fingers, twigs and matchsticks and also pen nibs in recent times. The lower border has typical themes of fishes and peacocks. The fish symbol is often used to represent fertility, procreation and good luck while peacocks are often used to symbolize religion, love and romance. The upper border has embellished feathers painted on the saree.

Description
Fabric:
This fabric is a blend of Mulberry Raw Silk, Tussar and Matka silk. It is 100% silk. The blend makes the fabric light, durable and characteristically different from any of its component yarns.
Printing:
The motifs are hand painted on the fabric. The paints used are acrylic colours with appropriate medium to protect the paint from cracking and peeling. However if fabric paint is exposed to direct heat like iron or strong sunlight it will crack.
