This saree has a heavenly lotus pond hand painted on it in original Pichwai style. Pichwai art originated in the town of Nathdwara near Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. Common subjects found in pichwai paintings are Radha, gopis (Radha and Krishna’s friends), cows and lotuses, festivals and joyous scenery of birds and lotuses.
Such perfect imperfections of hand work that breathes beauty of the blossoms and finesse of the flamingos !

Blouse Piece: Included with the saree of length 90-100 cm. The blouse worn in the photographs is only for styling. The last two picture in the photographs are of the blouse piece which is also delicately hand painted.
Maintenance: Dry Clean and light iron.
Iron hand painted clothes on the reverse side only in medium heat setting. Or keep a cotton cloth over the painted surface and iron in medium heat setting. If hand painted fabric is exposed to direct heat like iron or strong sunlight it will crack instantly or over time.

Fabric:
This fabric is a blend of Mulberry Raw Silk, Tussar and Matka silk. It is 100% silk. The blend makes the fabric light, durable and characteristically different from any of its component yarns.
Printing:
The motifs are hand painted on the fabric in authentic Pichwai painting style.. The paints used are acrylic colours with appropriate medium to protect the paint from cracking and peeling. However, if fabric paint is exposed to direct heat like iron or strong sunlight it will crack. Iron hand painted clothes on the reverse side only in medium heat setting.
