Inspiration
All creative pursuits consciously or unconsciously is an interpreter of Nature or Prakriti, and every being and thing her symbol. An intimacy with nature is nurtured by quietude and solitude in her arms. Nature pulsates with life, mirth, joy and often rage and revolt. This collection is about nature and the multitude of emotions it provokes in us influencing our own nature/Prakriti. This silver white saree printed in kalamkari art is like a dew drop settled on a petal like a pearl top. The saree is where traditional art meets contemporary style.

Description
Fabric:
The fabric is a blend of linen and tissue giving it a metallic sheen. It comes with a woven silver border.
Printing:
The colourful money plants meander on top half of the saree by virtue of screen prints.Screen printing is a method in which ink is applied directly to the surface to be printed (substrate). The image to be printed is photographically transferred to a very fine fabric (the screen) such that the non-printing areas are blocked off and the fabric serves as a stencil. The ink is wiped across the screen to pass through the unblocked pores and reach the substrate. For each color to be printed a separate screen is prepared and the process is repeated. It is tedious and painstakingly done by hand.
This saree is an absolute classic. Exquisite, elegant, and subtle. Its soft pastel shades and silky sheen make the saree stand out with an exotic appeal. I had fallen in love with Boond the first time I had set eyes on it in Urna’s collection and this was the perfect gift for my Mom on her anniversary earlier this year. Thank you Urna and Olee for such a lovely, unique offering.
