Inspiration
Alika in African – Nigerian means most beautiful and that is what it feels draping the saree. The dissonance of colours yet the orchestrated geometrical shapes are typical of African tribal art. African art rampant with bold use of colours and distortion of human forms and shapes have been adopted by modern art by virtue of it’s stylized abstract forms.
A soft silk with subtle block prints and and intrepid art work has pizzas and oozes oomph.

Description
Fabric:
This fabric is a blend of Mulberry Raw Silk, Tussar and Matka silk. It is 100% silk. The blend makes the fabric light, durable and characteristically different from any of its component yarns.
Printing:
The motifs are hand painted on the fabric. The paints used are acrylic colours with appropriate medium to protect the paint from cracking and peeling. However if fabric paint is exposed to direct heat like iron or strong sunlight it will crack.
